WOOHOO!!! That's great! Food & Wine Festival FTW!
When I retire, I hope I've won the lottery so I can buy a house that's right there on Disney property (I can never remember the name of the neighborhood) and go sit in the park any time I want. I might think about working as a Photopass photographer, but only if I feel like it.

Are you thinking of Celebration, Florida? I've heard there are nicer areas to live that are almost as close...but I will be happy to be your neighbor

I think they might have been talking about Golden Oak, which is on property.

Oh, yeah, maybe. Those are even fancier and way more expensive than Celebration.

It is an odd concept, they make it partially sound like vacation homes (not that timeshare crap like DVC) but it also sounds like family homes to live in 365, though there may not be schools nearby. The photos of all the old people as well as the name "golden oak" also imply it may just be a retirement community.

My favorite is the
Corona. Love that floor plan. Since it will be literally 10 years before I'm done raising my kids and they're all done with school, completely, I'll be almost retirement age so I won't care if people are older. I won't have a golf cart, though, I can tell you that much. I'm thinking a little Vespa. Light blue.

Hence the premise of winning the lottery.

I think you mean Golden Oak because you would definitely need to win the lottery to live there. I'm right there with ya! I have dreamed about living there. If I ever did miraculously win the lottery and buy a place there I would have to contact some of the other Disney fans here to see if they wanted to become roommates...those places are far too big for one person, and there was even one with a cottage in the backyard

. What a life that would be

I hope you have a terrific time, which I'm sure you no doubt will!
Ha, even more so would be the transition from excited and happy morning guests to the tired and groggy evening guests.

My dream would be to retire at WDW and move into my own permanent room at the Polynesian. Oh yeah!
