Hopefully they don't just reuse the same floats again.

Well that was WAY overdue. I do hope it features a full set of new floats as Celebrate a Dream Come True features a few floats that date back 2001 for the share a dream come true and others that I can easily recall seeing in the 25th Anniversary Remember the Magic Parade. They do say all new, but sometimes with TDO just taking the globe off a float or changing the paint scheme is new for them.

My hope for this is something that can be on par with Soundsational. DL did a fantastic job with creating all new floats for that parade and it is one of a few things I was unable to see when I was there in November/December.

I'm with you MadEye! Have you seen the floats in the parade at Disneyland Paris? I have never seen them in person, only on youtube, but the WDW floats are pretty sad if you compare them to DP  :x. What a gorgeous parade they have!

The drawings that they show look very promising.
There is one float that has been reused so many times, and I truly they think they need to dismantle the thing and recycle the parts. It's the one with the "glass-like", castle-esque thingies...do you know which one I'm talking about?! UGH . I mean really...I'm truly surprised the thing still moves, and they just keep dressing it up

I know which floats you're talking about, Sharon, and I think I can remember them back from 1980's, LOL.

That is the float I have been able to place in every parade dating back to at least 1995 during the 25th anniversary. It's in this link: http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photogr ... ge23115012

I took a look at the drawings of the new floats and I am impressed. It does seem like TDO may finally have some interesting and new parade floats for the Magic Kingdom.

And it has been used in the Christmas parades as well. I remember that float long before 1995. I think it was originally built for either the 10th or 15th anniversary parade, but I have no way to confirm it.

But its not the only float that has been around for years being used and re-used. There's a series of floats that combine to make a paddle-wheel riverboat. At Christmas, they use it to put the the Song of South characters on it.

They aren't getting rid of the MSEP (again) are they? Or do they mean an afternoon parade?

It's also the float that ran over a performer playing Pluto about a decade ago.

I hope you aren't referring to what happened to the friend-of-Pluto as he was killed in the accident.

Dug up some old video that my dad took (I couldn't yet carry the monstrosity that passed for home video cameras). The float was NOT in the 1984 Donalds' Birthday parade but it is definately in the 1986 15th Anniversary parade. However, the drive train under it may have been adapted/re-used from one of the floats in the 1984 Donald Parade.
