Is there a favorite in that list? I've got the free version of Undercover Tourist but haven't been at the parks to try out - good? Bad? I've also got the My Disney Experience, but same issue - no real life experience.
Also, is there an app for DisneyLAND that is worthwhile?

I have Disney Parks (which I think used to be "Mobile Magic"), WDW Lines, and DLR Lines, which are both done by TouringPlans.com. I like both for different reasons. The Disney app has the maps and descriptions of all the attractions, parades, shows, show times, and even when/where characters will be available. They have relative wait times, but not actual minutes. The TouringPlans apps have actual wait times that are both reported as well as posted, so you get an idea of how long a wait you'll have. Also, you can time your own wait to report back for others to use. It tells you which parks are likely to be more or less crowded on which days, too. The TouringPlans apps were free to download, but to fully use them you have to have a membership ($12/year for WDW, $6/year for DLR).
It all depends on what you want to be able to do. I don't recommend getting and planning on using more than one app, though. You can spend a lot of time flipping through your phone from one app to another, and that's not always the most productive thing to do.
Having said all that, if hubby and I were at WDW on our own, we would not get a dining plan, MAYBE make a couple of ADR's at our two favorite places to eat, and not have any kind of a plan otherwise. We'd just "wing it." Unstructured time is so relaxing for us.
However, when we were traveling with a large group, the apps were really useful.

I do wish it was more feasible for guests to make walk-up dining ressies. It seems like if you don't book your ADRs 6 months out, you aren't going to be getting in most of the table service restaurants. It really does spoil the spontaneity for some. Luckily we are perfectly happy with the food (and prices!!) of the quick servicecy1229 wrote:I have Disney Parks (which I think used to be "Mobile Magic"), WDW Lines, and DLR Lines, which are both done by TouringPlans.com. I have Mouse Wait, WDW Waits, Disney Parks, and My Disney Experience on my phone. All are free. I haven't really used the last one yet, but I did use the first few while we were at WDW. They seemed to be fairly accurate on wait times ~ most helpful was they would have whether an attraction was closed or open. That wasn't 100% correct all the time, but it did save me a few trips walking all the way across the MK to find out if Expedition Everest had reopened after having been down. I didn't spend a lot of time on my phone using apps though....too much to see and do at the parks!
I use the DL app to access the webcams

Re: Favorite Android App for the parks?
the most important thing is...
try not to use your phone while you are in the parks
There is so much detail and imagination put into every square inch of the Disney parks (for the most part
) that to miss out on that would be a shame. Also...if you are walking and looking down at your phone you may cause an "accident" which wouldn't be good. I have a feeling if Walt were alive he would not be a happy camper with guests more interested in their phones than his parks.

I also would recommend WDW lines by Touringplans.com. Not only is the wait time data very accurate, but the crown calendar data is pretty spot on also. And the best part of the app is the actual touring plans. You can create customized touring plans of the parks by inputting what you want to do each day and then they will optimize the plans for the least amount of wait time. You can then update the plan while in the parks and re-optimize if you decide you want to do a few things out of order. I thought the touring plans were awesome.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.
