AK After Dark

Post by G2-4T » Jun Mon 27, 2005 10:00 pm

So http://www.wdwmagic.com has posted some new photos of AK after dark. I really like the look and think having it open past sundown will be neat. Esp. with EE, they'll now have enough reason to justify staying open later - enough rides, food and shopping for at least a couple hours of darkness.

What AK really needs to do to get some night hours working is just spend the cash and get the mythical land off the ground, the dragons from the film Reign of Fire were supposed to be used for a ride their but werent when the movie failed at the BO. Say what you will about the film but the dragons in the movie were excellent.

The Disney parks are always cool at night. How does the being open later effect the animals though?

What attractions are to be open after dark? I would guess that they won't be lighting up the animal attractions and keeping them up late.

I would expect the DinoLand and Camp Minnie-Mickey to be open as well as the village areas. Plus EE when it opens. The animal areas are obviously not lit after dark...

I am greatly looking foward to seeing DAK in the nighttime. The pictures were great, and now I have another thing to add to the list to look foward to on my next visit.

And when EE is done, that will look amazing at night, too. Ahh, can't wait!

disney is well known for their care of animals in the park

as a example the hourse that pull the street cars on main street usa have a time card and only work 4 hours a day and no more than 4 days in a week (this is seasonal so they might not be out everytime you go)

the reason the park used to close a sundown was to help with the breeding programs on the large apes and animals in the kiliminjaro safari area no noisey tourists with cameras does help the animals get into the mood

hope this helps

Wow.. I didn't know that about the horses. I find that facinating info. Thanks!

Let's be honest.. almost every park is cool at night. 8)
