I just read this, Word on the street has it that Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom will serve beer + wine. Thoughts? Is it true??

Oh I thought you died, I will need to fire that contract... worker. :D

Probably, it was confirmed on a news site.

Don't they serve actual beer at the Liberty Tree tavern as well? I imagine they won't have a "bar" to go to, meaning if you want a drink you will need to buy food.

If it's true, it will be the first time Disney has served beer or wine in the MK. I have RUM with me all the time! So that was what that NERF shot I got hit with was all about!!

Now boys, play nice.

I think it's a good thing. Parents sometimes feel a little "left out" at MK. This lets them know they're welcome and wanted, too. Similar to what putting Kim Possible, and now Phineas and Pherb, at the WS has done for kids.

As long as people drink responsibly, it shouldn't be a problem. I do get a little perturbed at drunk people in EPCOT. It ruins a bit of the magic for me :(

Oh, I think we're going to be some of those tipsy people at Epcot this year. My sister, who is going through a divorce, and hubby and me, who both have been divorced, are going to have a "My ex is an idiot because" drinking contest.

Tipsy is ok - drunk and loudly obnoxious is not...
Hopefully they will have a great trip and not spend too much time thinking of unpleasant ex-es!

Are you sure they weren't just Texans (zing!)? :D

I wouldn't worry too much about people getting drunk there since you probably have to order food and all...

That's just.... icky.

I think we're going to get a jalapeno margarita and split it 3 ways. Or 3 straws. If we don't like spicy stuff, will we still like this drink? Because everyone on here raves about them (ok not EVERYONE, mostly just NaCler and Jacca and ... I forget who, it's mostly guys, isn't it?).

I don't know if Jacca has ever had one. Mousekedude, boilerdude, and wewantsdaredhead are the others who I know for sure have tried the famed jalapeño margarita...and liked it!

I wouldn't trust those ladies when it comes to cocktails... :D

But anyway, smuggling alcohol always was kind of gross since it's going to be at an improper temperature. Plus, nothing screams classy in 2012 like whipping out a flask. :D

I think you forgot NaCler in your list there, Amy...
