We have not been back to WDW for almost 4 years. We decided to return in March of 2013.

I know the Fastpass system has changed...but anything else?

Quite a bit... Fantasyland probably being the biggest. Test track should be open by that time (it is completely redone), etc.!!!!!

Fantasyland is getting bigger. Star Tours got a redo. American Idol is still open (don't waste your time, even if you like the show). Yes, Test Track is getting a redo but not "completely" (same track layout just different queue and show scenes). The former building that had Virgin Megastore will have a permanent replacement: Splitsville. A bowling ally/restaurant supposedly mostly for the locals.

They have also added various "enrichment" devices to MK in the form of a card battle game and they updated the one at Epcot to Phineus and Furb. The present night parade is going on break as well so there will be a replacement coming for that.

Wait, what? They're ending the Main St Electrical Parade? When? What are they replacing it with?

That's been gone for years (as it was only at DLR), the Disney's Electrical Parade I think "ends" this year with the new version of spectro, they might push it out further if they need more time. the DEP seems to be the floater they use while other parks work on stuff.

Thanks for the update. Guess I'll just have to go back next year!

that parade is my favorite!!!!! I haven't seen spectro though,wouldn't mind it so much if they replace with spectro!!

By the time we are able to go again, it's gonna be a whole new experience!! It'll be like going WDW the first time all over again!!

I completely agree. The last time I was at WDW was 2005. I was still in high school. It seems like that is not a long time, but my parents have been back to visit twice and tell me all that I have missed out on. Yeah...rub it in while I am studying for finals in college...real cool.

It's been a spell since my family and I ventured the Magic Kingdom and we're heading back pre-summer next year.The test track has my name all over it
