Victoria & Albert's question

We are planning our first vist to V&A's restaurant at the Grand Floridian. Does anyone know if they do anything special there on special Disney days? We are planning to go on Walt's 111th birthday on December 5th. Think anything special will be done there? Or anywhere else in WDW, for that matter?
Thanks.
Have a magical day!

Hmm, that's an interesting question. You might try to send a private message to Soarin' to see if she knows anything. She is working there at the moment on her internship I believe. I would guess that since it is such a fancy establishment, they probably don't do much, but maybe they would add a golden Mickey on a dessert or something in his honor.

To be honest I would highly doubt it. WDW seems to only make reference to major milestones. They make a brief mention of it being Walt's birthday in the parks or something but I don't think anything would be done at the restaurants.

Thanks...I sent a PM to Soarin' to see if he/she has any insider info. Would be nice if there was something special, but V&A's will be special enough, I guess.

Soarin' is a she...and she'll definitely be able to tell you if there is anything special happening. Maybe she will have some suggestions for other special ideas as well

One of you could get word to the restaurant manager that you are celebrating Walt's birthday at their restaurant, and would they do something special with a dessert in honor of his birthday. Tell them you give the chef carte blanche to do what he wants to with your dessert that night, as long as it somehow honors walt.
Then sit back and let your dinner partner be surprised when they bring it to the table. Trust me, they LOVE doing stuff like that!

Whoops, forgot she was moving over to Guest Relations. You are correct...
