After just 19 months the Magic, Memories, and You will be shown for the last time on September 3 (Labor Day) as Disney gears up for a new show that will have new music and effects but will incorporate parts of Magic, Memories, and You. The new show is slated to be more of a storytelling experience. It will be called "Celebrate the Magic". Look for it to debut in November. What? No! I liked that and wanted my parents to see it on our visit next month. Phooey.

I understand the whole keep things fresh and new concept but if it aint broke, don't fix it!! I loved Magic Memories and you the last time we were there!! i think alot of people will be sad when they get there and they're not doing it anymore!!

Hopefully they do something really great and then we won't miss the Magic, Memories and You show

you're right, I need to see the replacement before i comment!!

I understand the need to change the infrastructure for the new show, but I wish there were a way they could continue the first show until the next one is ready. I've been talking up the special effects on the castle, so it's a little disappointing that we won't see it. But, that's what we get for going in the time of year when there are no people there.

As for MM&Y closing, I think it was just a springboard for what they really wanted to do with the technology. We'll just have to wait and see what they have planned because MM&Y was really popular (at least at MK).

Wishes was the fireworks part, which may also be changed since the name of the show is changed every so often, the show they are talking about is the one using projection mapping (no fireworks).

MM&Y does use pyro but is not a part of Wishes. And no, Wishes isn't going anywhere nor is it getting a name change and hasn't since 03 when it debuted, at least for a year or two. The day parade, on the other hand, has had several name changes since 05 but that's a different discussion.

Ah, you don't change the name of your fireworks regularly? I think DLR changed (well they change the show slightly too) the name of the fireworks.

That might be due to the different guest base. Maybe they feel the need to tweak and rename the shows when they are trying to draw locals in...

I've never got to experience the Haunted Space Mountain but I really enjoy the holiday versions of It's a Small World and Haunted Mansion. F1gment was soooooo excited when we got to see the Haunted Mansion Holiday at DL. Jack is one of her favorite characters. I do sort of wish they would consider doing an overlay or two at WDW, but I can understand the reasoning behind why they don't...
