As for the hotel you would definitely want to make sure you get a hotel room that will not be a far walk from the elevator and choose a hotel that will have a bus stop close to the lobby. I don't think I would recommend a setup like Polynesian with the rooms being in separate buildings a bit of a walk. I think this might be able to help you out a bit with some tips on how to tackle WDW while pregnant: http://allears.net/pl/pregnant.htm

Congrats and best of luck!

My wife has done a full Disney week while pregnant... twice. I'll ask her if she has any helpful advice.

One thing I remember is that she couldn't go on most of the moving attractions.

Late January can be quite cold in Orlando, bring lots of things to keep you warm! And good luck with the new baby, congrats!

Or don't bring a jacket so you have to buy a new Disney sweatshirt! But be prepared for sticker shock

Definitely bring warm clothes for that time of year.

The last couple times my family has gone to DW, coincidentally, my sister was pregnant. One thing that really helped her was going somewhat early in the morning - coming back to the hotel for an afternoon rest/nap break and then if she was up for it, going back for the evening.
Lots of rest breaks during the day and at the parks. She also brought her own snacks as she usually needed just a small snack every few hours.
My sister was a trooper being so pregnant our trip last January. She had her baby only 2 1/2 weeks after our trip, but all of the walking that she did actually turned the baby (since she was breached at the beginning of the trip!) so she was head down as baby's are supposed to be!
Just take is easy and don't push yourself too hard, but you can still have a great trip with lots of fun memories and belly pictures! :-)

Congratulations!!

You need to make sure you buy a Mickey or Minnie one-sie or PJ's or something. And, you can tell the child, "But you HAVE been to Disney World!"

I went at about 3 months pregnant I think and was pretty sick with nausea. I wore sea-band wristbands the whole time which helped. If your past the early sickness part (if you even have this) then just make sure you have comfortable shoes. I wore tennis shoes at first and my feet were dying! I then wore by Teva Mush flip flops and was fine for the rest of the week.

I was 5 months pregnant with my 2nd child when we went to Disney World. The only rides I didn't go on were any roller coaster types-Big Thunder, Hollywood Tower of Terror, etc. It warns not to go on certain rides if you're pregnant -on a lot of rides! But I still went on splash mountain there is only 1 really big drop. It's a smooth drop too, nothing jerky. The safari ride in AK has a sign warning not to go. But it's just bumpy. I felt safe enough at 5 months. If I was 7+ months I think I would have done less. Definitely, no tea cups! You'll have to individually judge for yourself for each ride...overall, you can go on quite a bit still.

When everyone went on a roller coaster type ride in our group, I would always find a show to watch with our then 2 year old. There's always something to keep you busy at Disney! :mickey:

late Jan is my absolute favorite time to visit WDW. As for going pregnant, I don't see too many restrictions. some good advice already about rooms with short walks to the bus and taking breaks in the afternoon. I personally believe a monorail resort beats a bus-only resort, even if you have to do a bit of walking. Much less wear and tear getting around.
