Figured I'd start a thread if someone knows they saw or read something somewhere and can't remember where.

Kinda like me.

I know someone in the last month posted information about where the best place to meet Sully and the rest of the Monsters, Inc. characters is. Just did a quick search and it didn't pop up. Help? Thanks!

Shoot. I know I saw Sully and Mike when we there the last time. We were grabbing a bite to eat and I remember leaving F1gment at the table while I went and snapped an (unauthorized) photo from the sidelines. I want to say it was in DHS and we were eating at the backlot express. I can't say for sure until I go back through my photos though...

Perhaps it was by pixar place?

They are all located on your maps btw as the plush stuffers are generally relegated to the meet and greets so they can avoid weather issues.

How long does the Backlot tour take? I'm thinking I'll find out when Sully is scheduled to appear using my Mobile Magic app, then ride the backlot tour right ahead of it, and SHAZAM! I'll get to meet Sulley.

Backlot takes 15-20mins approximately, longer if you spend time looking at the exhibits,

Yeah, there's not much to it anymore You might want to try to be there just ahead of when the characters are to appear. If it's anything like the princesses in EPCOT, there will be a line well in advance.

I caught them at a dead time once. Too bad I lost the Photopass with the shots on it...

Yeah that's where we met them. It was our first trip with kids back in 2007. We have a great picture with Sully and Mike. Glad that they are still there.

You do not need to ride the Backlot tour to see them. Mike and Sully are available daily from like 10-5 with an hour break for the Countdown to Fun parade. I honestly don't think the line will be more than 15-20 minutes during the day.

You've never done the Backlot tour?? Really?? Well, maybe you won't be disappointed as you won't be able to compare it to it's former, longer self. It really is sort of fun....

The Backlot tour itself, perhaps... but the introduction show is another 10-15 minutes, not counting the time spent in line. Disney's website advertises it as a 35 minute attraction. I'd leave 35-45 minutes to see the whole thing, more if there are crowds or if you want to see the exhibits at the end.

The Backlot tour is fun, not the most thrilling attraction, but it's a nice break and there's a lot of cool stuff in the props warehouse.

Good place to sit and take a nice tram tour toward the end. And it is fun to see some of the things in the prop warehouse. Although the last time we were there, I made a point of lingering in the warehouse to take photos and there weren't a lot of things that were recognizable. The Binford racing lawnmower was there, and a few things from Honey I Shrunk the Kid (I think) and props from the old Lottery film that used to be part of the tour and now isn't. I can see why a lot of people just wander through the warehouse like a queue and not really pay attention to what's in there.
