With all this nasty weather and Tropical Storm Debby this week here in Central FL, what is the worst type of weather you have run into while at any of the Four Disney Theme Parks???

Let us dawn our Disney Mickey Mouse Poncho...lol

Haven't been in a hurricane, but have been in some pretty crazy thunderstorms. One year we went for 14 days, it poured rin for the first 13 and was nice on the last one.

It's not so much weather, but weather effects, that I remember. We went to WDW in Jan 2010 just a few weeks after it had been below freezing for several nights in a row. In fact, that week right after Christmas, my stepsister and her family were there and it was COLD, as in, too cold to swim, too cold to go without sweatshirts and gloves, COLD. When we were there, much of the foliage was brown, probably the after-effects of the very cold weather, maybe it had gotten frost bitten. I'll bet it's really hard to landscape, when the weather is usually close to tropical, but can unexpectedly just drop to temperate without warning.

We've seen really heavy downpours, really frigid temperatures and really hot and muggy days. Sometimes all in the same week-long trip Two years ago, at the first Mayhem Marauder meet-up, it was so cold that F1gment wore her heavy down coat most of the trip. I had tried to convince her to leave it in the car when we were leaving home, but she insisted on taking it with her. Thank goodness she did or she would have froze! And since she had her down coat, she let me borrow her down vest on the really cold nights!

I think I've been pretty spoiled with my Disney weather- the worst I've gotten in terms of tropical storms was rain showers starting just as I was leaving the parks for the night anyway. But I was there for one ridiculously hot, sunny day, and the sun reduced me to a sweaty, energy-less, miserable mess. And I had such bad sunburns that I looked like I had a serious skin condition, and it hurt to put clothes on for weeks afterwards.

My worst weather has to be the down pours. This past trip we got some insane downpours that just flooded the parks and made crocs the only usable shoes. We had three days this past trip which featured rains that were insanely heavy.

I feel sooooo bad for the poor people who have had crappy weather this week. People save for a flawless vacation and mother nature turns nasty. We feel for you...

I feel bad as well for everyone in the crummy weather!!!! Our best weather here in Florida is from October to May... it's so icky from June to September, and very unpredictable. But my best advice to anyone going to WDW in the summer months is, get a poncho, bring dry clothes in a backpack and just go for it! Even a rainy day is ok at Disney

I've actually never been freezing down there... Part of it may be I'm one of those people who wears shorts in the northeast year round unless it's in the 20's. My sister however is freezing if it's in the 60s. I like to make fun of her of telling her she's not climbing the real everest so the jacket isn't entirely necessary.

I wear shorts longer than most people up here in the North find it necessary. It truly was down in the low 30's when we were there with wind chills much lower. I thought it was great because I didn't roast and sweat at all It was one of the few trips where I enjoyed having hot chocolate too. Mostly it is just too darn hot in Florida to enjoy that beverage

It really was a nice treat on those really cold nights. F1gment would make hers into a mocha combining the coffee and hot chocolate.

??? It's not? I don't drink coffee so I don't know. I thought that is what she called it. Anyhow, it took me a couple nights to get the combination of hot chocolate to coffee ratio just right picky, picky Momma

Mocha is chocolate syrup, espresso, steam milk and (I think) foam. Drip coffee and HC is something else, a lot of places just name it after the establishment.
