My wife and I are as Dopey as Cccmouse...
We decided we weren't going to have any part of waking up at 2:45 four days in a row and running all those miles.
And then crunch time came and she said. To heck with it...lets do it.
So here we are. Lol
Are we crazy???!!!!
You guys rock! I was hoping that you would show the same poor judgement I as did. And the answer your question is...YES you are crazy. But hey, crazy is what makes life fun. I am really glad that this is something that the two of you can do together. That makes it even more special.
Poor judgement indeed! I guess we'll see you out there Cccmouse.
I agree with you. It's more fun when we can both train together and then complete all four legs together.
I look forward to it as crazy as that is

Do they have such a thing as pitch runners? Like a pitch hitter in baseball? I'll get up super early if someone else does the running!

Amen!
We were running here a few weeks ago and we had to get up early and I said, "Babe I don't want to get up 4 days in a row at 2:45."
She agreed and guess what? We are doing it anyway lol
We really have very little park time. But we'll have six medals and a lifetime of memories...
Amy: it's actually called a 'pinch' hitter/runner
. And yes I would love for you to come pinch run for me once...or twice lol

Guess you can tell how sportsy I am by that faux pas
I did have some medal envy when I was looking at the race info. All that pretty bling! But there is no way this body has that many miles in it. And the lack of parks time would make me sad. I will happily cheer my fellow subbies on though!!

I was just thinking while I was reading these posts and how early everyone has to get up...could you imagine if someone ran the race from a different time zone? That would make things even harder! Is anyone here running from a different time zone or heard of anyone running from a different time zone?

It is not a problem if you stay on UK time when Joe did the Goofy in 2011 he stayed on our time and said it worked. So when we come to run again we will stay on UK time even though it means going to bed at around 6pm.

So...there is a 90% chance DW and I will be down at WDW January 15-18...which is the Wednesday-Saturday after the Marathon weekend. Will any of you marathoners still be down there?
