If you were stranded on a desert island...

Post by momeja » Mar Sun 18, 2012 10:42 am

A variant on Cy's thread but a bit more specific:

If you were stranded on a desert island but could have one Disney ride or attraction installed on it, what ride or attraction would you want to have? (And why? )

Me: Star Tours.

Although it's not my very favourite ride in WDW (that's Splash) or even my favourite ride in DHS (that's ToT - although just barely), those 54 (?) different combinations won the derby. I really could ride it over and over and over and love it every single time.

I would have to say the American Adventure. It is air conditioned! And it has all those different scenes...and really great music :D

Tower of Terror for many reasons....

1. Building could be seen by passing ships. :P
2. Variation of rides (Never the same ride twice).
3. Could sleep in the hotel queue-The old funiture looks comfortable. :)
4. Could eat with the tea set in the queue. :D
5. Would at least have 1 episode of Twilight Zone to watch.

I would say one of the ships they use to transport people or innoventions, that way I could get off the island/call for rescue and then not die there. :D

I was thinking of the sailing ship Columbia myself, or perhaps a Nautilus from the now-defunct 20K UTS...

...so he ripped off the idea of this from BBC's Desert Island Discs?

There is no foul when it comes to survival, I'll be sure to think of you all while I am sailing back and you resort to cannibalisim.

Does the UK pavilion count?? Food and all??

All right, all right... Haunted Mansion! I'd never get bored with it, that's for such... I see something new each time I ride.

My choice is the Haunted Mansion! POTC is my favorite ride with HM a close second, but in this case HM would win. Here is why:

1. Books from the library to read when I'm bored
2. A bedroom to sleep in
3. A kitchen
4. It would be nice and cool in the island heat
5. Ghostly friends to dance with

Even if I do have to share it with ghosts I really don't mind the 999 happy haunts! Besides there is always room for 1,000 so I'll volunteer! :hm_ghost:

...and since the other 999 are already dead, you don't have to worry about them turning cannibal when the food runs out (unless they're actually zombies, and then you're just soooo screwed)....

My choice would be the Swiss Family Treehouse so I would have a nice bed and a little bit of comfort.
