WDW history of rides and attractions articles

I love ride/attraction history at WDW; so much so, that I want to start writing some articles about it. I will start off with the original ride/attraction that was occupying that space, give an idea about what it was (maybe include some videos if I can find them, audio, scripts, pictures, etc). Then, I will move on to what replaced that ride/attraction (or if it is presently the same attraction, I will discuss the next version of it). I will do the same and try to include some audio, video, pictures, etc. Eventually I will end up in the present time and do the same as I have with the past...provide any audio, video, etc that I can find. I will then give my overall opinion and whether I would like to see it reverted, updated, left alone, or re-imagined.
Is this something that sounds interesting to anyone and would be something that you would want to read? After I get a good feel on whether anyone would be interested, I will post a poll for what I should start with! I am going to post these polls on my website (see my signature) so that they can be more comprehensive and cleaner looking. I will post a link here.
Thanks everyone!

Please leave some comments here too!

If you want...you can try getting in touch with
Martin. I'm sure he would love to contribute some of the information he has about attractions. He also has fantastic videos as well. There are many things about WDW that I never would have known had I not found his site and watched his videos.
I can spend days over on Yesterland.com reading about the history of DLR and have spent a good bit of time over at WaltDatedWorld.com as well. So I'm sure I'd love whatever you decide to write about too!

Me too, I would love to read something about Spaceship Earth, Living with the land or Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

I love history and stories behind attractions. My favorite podcasts are the ones that WDWNT calls "Back to the Future" where they talk about when attractions were built, then go over all changes that were made through the years. I found myself compelled to listen the other day when they focused on the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse! Haha... 45 minutes discussing that attraction! I must be sick!

What in the heck did they find to talk about for 45 minutes about the SFRT? I like that particular tree, but 45 minutes?!

Thank you, everyone, for responding! I'm excited to see that there will be some interest out there for these articles! I will get working on the first one soon, but would love some ideas on which attraction to do first. I'd like to make this first one be about a good attraction, but not a great one... enough interest for people to want to read, but not one of the best rides because I'd like to save those for if/when more people start reading! So, some second-tier rides are preferred for this first article, maybe something like Universe of Energy Pavilion? The Seas with Nemo & Friends? Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover? Stitch's Great Escape, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, etc.

Smart idea not leading out with a huge attraction ~ reel 'em in first

I vote for Universe of Energy or the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

Defently Tomorrowland Transit Authority. I love that ride.

My vote would be Tomorrowland Transit Authority as well. Such an iconic ride in my mind!

Does anyone else have any opinions? Right now it looks like TTA will be the topic based on the amount of times it was suggested, with Universe of Energy a close second!

World of Motion or Wonders of Life would be great as well...if you're making a list.

I think a discussion about the evolution of PotC, with the movies based on the ride, and then the ride being based on the movies again, would be cool. Also, how the DLR and WDW versions differ. Yo ho!

All sounds very interesting to me! I also love to hear stories about 'what never was' or 'what could be'....
