I have only been there when they were doing random openings of the new Fantasyland before the actual grand opening. We were there in late October of 2012. We were only able to walk in and look around a little....the dining room wasn't open but we could look inside. That is really all I care about when eating there is the atmosphere! Can't wait to get back there someday!

I'm sure the suits of armor were on some kind of loop...but probably a very long loop. They were funny because they seemed to be talking to each other as well as the people walking by.

The only parts open to the public were the entrance and the hallway with the suits of armor. The CS order area with kiosks was roped off, but you could see in. The ballroom was roped off as well but you could see all of it. I believe it is open every day from park opening (including EMH) until 10:00 AM. At 10:30 it opens for lunch...so I assume they use that 30 minutes to make sure everything is ready to serve the guests. By being there in the morning you do get to see CMs setup the ballroom dining area...so kind of adds to the "royal" look and feel.

We will definitely have to check this out the next time we go. I don't really see anything on the menu that catches my eye, and I don't think Figment would be very happy sitting in the long line to get into lunch anyhow. Mostly I'd just like to see inside :D

I snagged not 1 but 2 reservations for my next trip in Jan 2015...though I'll probably let one go as the trip gets closer. Too many great dining options to repeat within a week. But my birthday dinner will be there. :) I want to try the grey stuff!

I've heard the grey stuff is delicious! Is your birthday ressie the first in the trip? Then you could always repeat the meal there if you really like it, otherwise I agree, so many great choices to eat at the same place twice, unless you are going to be going again really soon!

Be Our Guest Restaurant is awesome! Though I'm glad we ate there when we did because I don't think we'll be eating there again in the near future with our dietary restrictions. We were there for lunch and chose to sit in the West Wing...WOW! It is gorgeous!

It's the second...I'm trying not to get over excited or too attached to my plans since the foster-to-adopt kiddo(s) needs will trump my own wants.

Is there any gluten/dairy free friendly items on the regular menu there? I have to admit, I only want to go and see it as the menu doesn't look like there is anything I would eat there :( Figment might enjoy a few of the options though, so that might just be my ticket inside ;)

Good plan. I would imagine they will be pretty excited to go to WDW that they won't care too much about where the food stops will be :mickey:

My mom and I were extremely lucky to get a reservation for our last night when we were there. Somebody must have dropped it and we picked it up right away! This year was my second time eating there and I was actually a bit disappointed overall. The food was good, but they did end up messing up on both of our orders. In addition, I did ask about the grey stuff and the only reply was the next few lines from the song. Cute, but not as fun as them bringing you a plate with the grey stuff on it. It ends up being they are now just using it as the celebration. At least that is how it was when I dined there on July 22. This year it was overall a let down.

Another thing I noted is that they are no longer using the candelabras to escort you into the restaurant like they did when the restaurant had first opened and I ate there the year prior. They did have the third room open the night I was there and I did walk around to see it. It really is, to me, a big let down when compared to the rest of the restaurant. The theming is just not there.

Which do you consider the third room? The West Wing or the Rose Gallery?
