Can't tell but it looks like it's just a "move some dirt around to this spot over here" kind of thing.

Who knows with Disney, I've not noticed. I've noticed the DVC stuff at the Grand but that's all.

Yeah, I also noticed the construction at Grand Floridian when I went. I saw some construction at Contemporary while on the monorail but never paid much attention to it.

looks like maybe cleaning out the canal, or possibly connecting a pond to the lagoon?

There is no pond there. The water you see is a part of Bay Lake.

well then, could it be another boat channel (secondary, temporary) between the lagoon and the lake?

Was disappointed to see what Disney is doing in between the GF and Poly. That's going to be very congested and ruins the beuatiful walk from the Poly to GF.

Doubt it as the one they already have is still in good shape. There have been no cement trucks/mixers so there is no foundations for anything. I believe it is just reworking some piping (what kind of pipes, I don't know) in the area.

Yeah...that's my biggest problem. The wedding pavilion is such a quiet and beautiful area...and I'm not so sure it's going to keep that same appeal...especially with construction going on.

I asked before...but were there ever any "beach" weddings done in that area where they are building the DVC rooms? I know they do beach weddings over at the Swan/Dolphin. Wasn't sure if they did them a the wedding pavilion beach area.

Yea, I agree, that is going to mess up the wedding pavilion! That was such a pretty, quiet and open area.

They might rework the wedding pavilion somehow. Honestly from stalking the Fairytale Weddings site there seem to be a lot more options now than just there (I do know when the blessed day arrives, my mom agreed to a World Showcase wedding- those are even more intimate) that are actually better.
