Microwaves??
We will be staying at the Beach Club (first time ever!) and were wondering if there's a food court with a microwave in it that we could access. Does anybody know if there is one for popping popcorn, heating leftovers, etc.? We leave in 4 days. WOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I've never stayed at the Beach Club but I know some other subsonicers have and it looks really beautiful from their photos. Scanning through the official Disney site for the hotel, it looks like all the rooms have a microwave available on request and some rooms have one automatically included in your room. So, it looks like you might luck out and not have to go to the food court, you might be able to pop popcorn and reheat all in the convenience of your own room. You might want to call ahead and see whether your room already has a microwave or if you need to request one. Here is the link if you are interested in seeing what else each level room includes... http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resort ... tes-rooms/

I'm pretty sure that most of the food courts have microwaves. I am not certain about the Beach Club, but I know I have seen them at the All Star Resorts.

If I recall, there isn't a food court at the beach club (probably the same for the Yacht and boardwalk hotels). There is a place that is similar to a convenience store but they do not have a microwave.
If you want to pop popcorn you might be SOL, but they do have free movie nights on the beach, so they may sell it there, or you can see if they can put one in the room.

We just returned from WDW and after our morning runs, we would walk a lap around the Boardwalk/BC/YC area and we would always go into the Beach Club to refill our water in thier quick service area, I do not recall seeing a microwave there.

Hmmmm, I was thinking of suggesting (if you can't get a microwave) that you go to Epcot and pick some up, since it's right next to the beach club. But I can't recall there being any popcorn stands in the world showcase area. I can't quite picture them in the park, but I am sure there are some.
Re: Microwaves??
Thanks for the input! We'll be calling the Beach Club in the morning to see if we can get a microwave in our room. With a picky 2-year-old, I would hate to spend a lot of money for a meal that he may/may not eat. A microwave would make our lives easier and lower my vacation stress level

Hope you can get one! I'm thinking you can get chicken nuggets and hot dogs almost anywhere so hopefully that is on his "I'll eat that" liststinoi wrote:Thanks for the input! There is a little bakery/refreshment nook next to the Captain's Grille in the YC and I believe they have a microwave. They may be willing to pop it for you if you don't mind the LONG walk.

I'll be there in December! Don't wreck the place!!Wizzard419 wrote:Hmmmm, I was thinking of suggesting (if you can't get a microwave) that you go to Epcot and pick some up, since it's right next to the beach club. There is popcorn in EPCOT at the entrance to the WS, so, it is not far (two countries away) from where you will be entering/exiting the WS to get back to your hotel. I understand the importance of popcorn!!

Re: Microwaves??
that's funny - popcorn is my mom's and my favorite snack but we only had it once while we were there the last time. It's usually a bit too saltyChernabog wrote:I understand the importance of popcorn!!

Re: Microwaves??
Buying popcorn is one of my favorite things to do in WDW, especially when on Main Street. I can't get enough popcorn, love it! I agree, sometimes it is a bit salty, but w/popcorn, I guess I'd rather it be a little too salty then not salty enough.Amy wrote:that's funny - popcorn is my mom's and my favorite snack but we only had it once while we were there the last time. So there is popcorn at Epcot! For some reason I couldn't picture it anywhere yet I could remember the other foodservice stands (and that glazed nut thing).
