How often do you visit, and how do you plan your trips to WDW? Are they planned far in advance, or spur of the moment visits?

Living so close, every week if not every-other week. Whether it's a planned visit (Food and Wine most recently with more visits planned) or just playing it by ear is a depends on a few factors (weather, crowds, park, etc.).

Full of envy right now

Living in Miami we are 3 1/2 hours door to door to WDW! We have annual passes and go on 1 to 2 week long trips and 2 - 3 short 3 day weekend trips per year.

I have gone every 2-4 years for 23 years! I just had kids (3 & 6 yrs) we made our first trip with both Oct 2-8 -- that was exahuasting but you do see and do everything differently and that is a good thing. The joy on their faces at the character breakfast was so beautiful. And when we ran into Peter Pan at MK -- it blew their minds! Our trips are planned, planned, planned -- b/c it takes me that long to save up the money. I just love Disney World. I wish I could live there. It is my escape from reality . . . it is so hard to come back to the real world.

Living in Canada, we typically go every 2-3 years. With DD (14) in Nationals dance competitions every summer, we take advantage of opportunities to visit WDW when the Nationals are in Orlando or close to Orlando (Hollywood, Fl in summer 2012).

Airfare from Canada is a killer in terms of cost, otherwise we'd go every year. Still trying to convince DW to drive down. It's only 24 hours on the road...

We usually try to go to WDW every summer since I was 9. The only years else didn't go were 2001 (Disneyland), 2005, 2007. Each trip is usually around 7-8 nights in length.

We went often enough when I was young, since both my grandmothers lived in Florida, and Orlando was conveniently in between them. I went to college in Florida, but only managed to visit DW once while I was there. We didn't return again until my Honeymoon in 2001, and then in 2006, again in 2008, and most recently in 2011. My current planned schedule is every 3 years. And you better believe these trips are planned long in advance!

Since 1989 I had been to WDW every 2-3 yrs until 2004. I haven't been since, and i'm like you, I love it so, so much, I literally believe I could live there and never get tired of it. The only thing that made leaving easier(NEVER easy), was planning another trip before I even left . I bought into the DVC in '99, but sadly had to sell in 2010. To make it more affordable for your young family you should really look into DVC resales. They have some amazing deals, and depending on how many points you buy and where you like to stay, you could have many trips over the next 30 yrs. or so, (my membership was good until 2042) for the same price as a few trips. I plan on buying back in as soon as I can.

On our trip in 2003 we had a 2 1/2 yr old, and a 5 yr old with us. It's the only time I have been to WDW with really young children, and it was just incredible! The 5yr old met Belle, Jasmine & Alladin, PRICELESS . Watching the 2 yr old during the Spectromagic parade(or any of the parades or shows for that matter), brought tears to my eyes . I wish you many wonderful trips in the future.

I don't count, I go whenever I want... And starting in January, every day once again.

Once every year...at least these last few years. 10 years before that...at least for WDW

My parent's started taking me when I was 3 and we would visit Disney every other year. I went with family a few times and now DH and I go as often as possible!!! Trips are usually planned a few months in advance!

Going there for the first time next summer, really looking forward to it.
