Big Thunder Mountain closing for lengthy refurb.

Big Thunder will be closing on January 9th 2012 and reopening on May 28th 2012. It is about time this attraction has had a refurb! BTW, from what I am hearing, they are not only doing work on the ride itself but also redoing the queue. Take it for what it's worth but I hope that is true.

Hopefully they can make the queue less hot and claustrophobic? I only rode that attraction once last trip and that was with fastpasses courtesy of the Mousekecouple so I didn't have to wait long, but I just don't care for the queue...

They might work on ventilation, though (if I recall) it's outdoors so not the best use. They may be doing more repairs than upgrades though.

It'll be closed likely by the time I make it, seeing as my CP move-in day is the 9th... my brother will be devastated, that's his favourite!

..err, what do you want done with the queue? People are already too distracted with iphones and the such in the line now to pay attention and move forward - what do you want them to do now? Add interactive video games so they can have more distractions?

..err, what do you want done with the queue? People are already too distracted with iphones and the such in the line now to pay attention and move forward - what do you want them to do now? Add interactive video games so they can have more distractions?

I wouldn't mind if they expanded the "inside"portion of the queue. Then they could widen the queue for wheelchair access and it would be a little more comfortable not being too close to the people in the other parts of the line.
