Osborne lights at DHS during the day.

My wife and I will be celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary at DHS later this week and I was wondering how bad do the buildings look with the lights already going up on them? It is my wife's first time to DHS and I'd love to show her all there is to see but shudder at the though of how ugly the place may look with strings of lights covering everything?

While the streets are obviously more attractive at night when the lights are lit, I don't mind them during the day. It is interesting to me to see "behind the scenes" and how many lights are there. I think you sort of can look past them if you don't want to see them, the lights aren't that distracting. I have some photos I took at DHS during the day last December. I will try to find them and post a few so you can see...I'm sure they might have some of those lovely blue construction walls up while they are decorating, I don't know how distracting those will be...

It's definitely not much to look at during the daytime.

It reminds me of the netting they place on buildings to prevent the swallows and other mud/spit net birds from setting up shop there.

What he said...
It is an incredible, breath-taking, inspirational thing to see at night, but during the day it just looks like a bunch of wires and such. Imagine the streets of america where Spider-Man has shot a web all across it. It's not awful, but its just weird is the best way to put it.
Maybe I can tolerate it because I know how awesome it is at night?? :)

Thanks everyone for your reply.... we went and the buildings didn't look too bad... just couldnt get close to the buildings because of all the barricades.
