Yakitori House
Just an FYI to those who like the Yakitori House at the Japan Pavilion that it closed today for a three month refurb. No word on what will be going on but I for one hope it is to make the dining area bigger. To those wondering, you will be able to get the menu items from Yakitori at the Japan Food and Wine kiosk.

Re: Yakitori House
Is it part of the overall refresh for dining that Epcot has been going through?

Don't know.

I think the goal is that each shop and at least one dining establishment in each WS country is owned by an outside company that leases the space from Disney. Such as with Mexico and Italy (and I think China).

When was the last time you ate there? I've eaten there many times in the last year and the food is fine. As for Tangerine... I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner!!!! The lamb wrap is amazing!yodiwan1 wrote:I used to love yakitori house, but the last two visits there were horrible. Everyone said the food tasted strange...so now I love Tangerine in MOrocco!!! Yakitori House and the Tangerine Cafe are my two favorite quick serve restaurants. I usually get the curry udon at the former, and the chicken platter at the latter.

I just went and read some reviews and between all the comments here and the reviews I read, I might have to try the Tangerine Cafe on our next trip!Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:Yakitori House and the Tangerine Cafe are my two favorite quick serve restaurants. Here's a question... do they serve Pigeon (possibly chicken) Pie in the Moroccan pavillion? It's a traditional dish but very few places make it right.

I didn't see it on the menu that I found for the Restaurant Marrakesh...closest thing seemed to be these ~ Chicken Bastilla - Baked layers of thin pastry stuffed with minced chicken and almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugarWizzard419 wrote:Here's a question... do they serve Pigeon (possibly chicken) Pie in the Moroccan pavillion? That would be it, but if they don't use egg then I am guessing they are trying to play it safe. The big problem when people make it (even in morocco) is that the egg gets overcooked in the baking and it gets really dry.
Oddly, it goes under a bunch of variant names with "Pastilla" being the most common.

We last ate there at the end of July not even a month ago, and the time before that was the beginning of June.MadEye wrote:When was the last time you ate there? I love the Tangerine too!!! Note to self... if you flirt with the cute girls holding the liquor bottle, chances are she will add a little extra booze!! lolyodiwan1 wrote:I used to love yakitori house, but the last two visits there were horrible.
