Does anyone know why the Swiss Family Treehouse is going to be closed for 2 months?!?! This makes me nervous!

Hmmm, I hadn't seen this piece of info before...that does seem like a long time for refurb. But I know in my photos of the SF Treehouse from this past December it was showing a lot of wear and tear :(

Yea, it is looking a little sad. I hope they're just going to clean it up and breath some new life into it. The views up top are spectacular at night! :D

It's a very complicated structure, so I can imagine it probably takes a bit longer to do a refurbishment of it...

The only info. B-dude was able to find was the it is a refurb. They did one in '03 & '08, so I guess it's just time?!

There could be any reasons for a refurbishment and exactly what is being worked upon. If it's just the exterior, or structural reinforcement - there's any number of possibilities as to what they're doing to SFT.

True, I was just concerned. To me, SFT is a classic and one of my "must do's" when we visit WDW! It usually follows my DW!!! 8-)

Although I don't know if it would be safe to take Boilerdude and Mousekedude on the SFT if they just had some RSDW's....

You're right, that could be dangerous! Although, I would like to perform my DW dance on the SFT! Too bad you can't take food or beverages with you! :(

If certain Mayhem Marauders - who will remain nameless - were able to smuggle (accidentally  - yeh, that's it) small rum bottles into the MK - how hard can it be to smuggle a DW into SFT?? :mickey:

Can't help you there either. Maybe those "unnamed" Mayhem Marauders could posts some tips though....

When they normally axe an attraction they don't put a re-opening date for it. :D

The only time they went from refurb to "gone", in recent history, would be rocket rods when it was being re-evaluated and found there was no way reasonable way to make it work and it went away without notice.

Go during the evening EMH, I don't think there was another soul with 500 yards of the treehouse, much less any CM's near the treehouse...

I know SFT is a "classic", but I can think of so many different attractions that can go there! I mean, you do so much walking as is at WDW, why would you want to walk up a tree as well? Adventureland is one of the least busiest lands, and could definitely use a boost.
