Bowling and billiards and I don't have to drive more than 20 miles from home. Glad to see something taking up most if not all of the former Virgin Megastore.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

That looks nice for the people that like that sort of thing. I wouldn't be likely to utilize that on my vacation though...

West side, isn't that where Cirque de Soleil and DisneyQuest are? If so, then that's a great location for something new.

they didn't want to do a Dave & Busters there instead? or Jillians? lol

seems like not the best addition to downtown disney - kind of generic, but its better than another store I guess!

I'm guessing a D&B wouldn't clammor to open up shop next to a clone of their establishment. If I recall, on a government funded drunken rampage, we went there and it was ok. Nothing special.

Dave and Busters just opened on I-Drive anyway...

I like the idea. It's something new and would try out to see what it is like.

I've been thinking more about this and you know what would've been so much better? If Disney developed their own Dave & Busters/Splitsville/Jillians concept and had it only in Downtown Disney - like the same games and a restaurant, but with Disney theming and touches. Now THAT I would go to!

Isn't that what DisneyQuest was sort of like?

Let's see if I get this right, people are going to pay big $$$ to go to Disney World so they can go...bowling?!? Wouldn't it be cheaper to stay home and go to your local bowling alley instead??

Splitsville isn't exactly a family bowling center, it's more like a bar/club that happens to have bowling if you want it. Not like the old places in the northeast. So if you hate disco-bowling you will really hate this place.

OK, here is why I can see this working...1) IF its open very late, then it gives adults options after the parks close 2) I know when I went to UCF, there were LOTS of students that went to PI, I can see if it is well done, a lot of locals may go. 3)Families going for over a week may find this as a nice break for a few hours 4) If it is a very rainy day, and you are the type of person who hates going to the parks during an all day storm, this gives you another on property option.
I like this idea. I know on my upcoming trip we have a day set aside for DTD and relaxing. IF this was built I know we would be doing it, especially if there were Disney touche.

Oh, it already works it's a night club for the suburbs so the entry standards aren't very high and pretty much everything in DTD is family oriented.

I do find it hillarious that they offer bottle service since places like that are not typically filled with people who do bottle service.

I thought DisneyQuest was more about video games & had a charge just for entry. This would be more like a bar/restaurant with bowling and billiards - no charge to get in, just to play/eat/drink.
