Fire near Animal Kingdom

Sounds like a pretty serious fire near the Animal Kingdom (about 1 mile away) late last night and into this morning. Here is a link...

Reports say there are 8 injured, including 2 firefighters. No word on the extent of their injuries yet.

Mostly smoke inhalation from what I've read.

Ah, good to hear. Burn injuries are so painful :(. Hopefully they will all be ok in a short amount of time!

Yea it's bad. You can smell smoke all over central Florida!

We heard about it this morning. I saw a picture, but I'm not sure what site it was from. I did however, find this from the Chicago Tribune. There are pictures and video of the fire. I couldn't believe the sheer size of the blaze! Not to mention the damage! :shock:

Wow ~ that is unbelievable how completely destroyed the hotel was. I wouldn't be surprised to find out there were missing extinguishers and sprinklers that weren't working properly as the story suggested.

Heck, most of Florida is burning at this time... :(
