Jack Skellington and Sally Meet & Greet rumor
There is a rumor floating around on the net that Jack and Sally could do Meet & Greet at Mickey's Not So Scary this year. Discuss.

We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

I think it would be awesome. Maybe it's the first step in bringing the Haunted Mansion holiday make over to WDW??? One can only hope. Let's just hope that the Jack & Sally meet is more popular than the DUFFY one!

I agree ~ this is one pair of characters that would convince F1gment to stand in a meet-and-greet line!NaCler wrote:I think it would be awesome. It wouldn't be surprising, they started doing them last year at DLR and it was a hit. I doubt they would bring over HMH though since there is no real benefit since WDW has more non-local visitors each day rather than locals.

One can only hope, NaCler. TDL's Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare was originally destined for WDW, but WDW sold it to TDL instead to take the money to increase the budget for Stitch's Great Escape. Now that was money well spent! When we were there back on Dec. 4th and the MK park was crowded, you had long lines for almost every attraction - except for Stitch's Great Escape. I think they could save money just by closing that ride down - I wonder if the money they save from closing it could finance a HMH overlay?NaCler wrote:I think it would be awesome. I don't think it's a money issue. I think it's a "We would be without a HM for over a third of the year (2 months to install/remove and 3 months of HMH) thing." I'm guessing that since they don't cater to people nearby as heavily as DL the need for holiday overlays is less common.

WDW management is the cheapest among the batch. Notoriously known to resent holiday decorating because of the $$$. "We would be without a HM for over a third of the year (2 months to install/remove and 3 months of HMH) thing." is what they tell people so they the public won't think that they're really cheap b*st*rds.

I wonder what the average frequency of visit is for returning customers there? I wouldn't call them cheap bastards if the average consumer only comes to them once every 5 years or so. No need to spend the money to lure them back, which is why we have more overlays at DLR.

Actually, I think they really don't like decorating. It just costs too much $$$. If they could dump everything at the holidays and just leave the Osbourne Lights, I think they would. As far as WDW, they only decorate Main Street and that's it - and they would probably wouldn't even do that if it wasn't for that Christmas Parade TV program...
DLR decorates far, far more for the holidays compared to its Florida counter-part...

I was supprised to see them at Disneyland last year. My family and I were wating at the train station, in the New Orleans Square / Haunted Mansion area, when we noticed them. They didn't look that good, (my oppion, and you know what they say about oppions). I gues they'll get better as time goes on. After all, have you seen the first Mickey?

I've seen the photos of it and I agree they could look better. I think it would look better if they had a "full head" to the costume like they do with the other characters. Otherwise, it doesn't look that good...ericpabear wrote:I was supprised to see them at Disneyland last year. A "full head" would probably help. I would guess it is difficult to make humans look like skeletons though, no matter what they use.mindflipper wrote:I've seen the photos of it and I agree they could look better. I always enjoy a full head...
Anyway, I think they did it like that so they could have him talk/whatever.

Most characters don't talk anyway, so I don't think anyone would really notice it at WDW. I think Diz could make costume masks/heads that more resemble the movie characters than those at DLR...

Make, functionality, and final overall appearance are sometimes mutually exclusive areas though.
