Wishes from the Poly beach
I'm still here on my trip...so not ready for a report just yet. However...I just watched Wishes from the Polynesian beach and...no music was piped in. What the heck? Why was there no music? I'm not too happy...but at least we will get another chance tomorrow.

Really? What happened? We were along a walkway not far from the pool and had the music being piped in back in Dec 2010. Did you ask the Front Desk at the Poly about it?theBIGyowski wrote:I'm still here on my trip...so not ready for a report just yet. Oh, that is too bad BIG, the fireworks wouldn't be the same without the music! I agree with mindflipper, perhaps you should inquire with the front desk before you would try it again.mindflipper wrote:Really? What happened? Thats no good. Hope your enjoying your trip.

Apparently it's been that way for a few months now. Try the TTC or the area facing MK outside the Grand Canyon Concourse at Contemporary. Those are two other spots I have heard them play the music during Wishes in the past.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

It's a shame - it seemed quite popular with the guests...MadEye wrote:Apparently it's been that way for a few months now. Try the TTC or the area facing MK outside the Grand Canyon Concourse at Contemporary. Those are two other spots I have heard them play the music during Wishes in the past.

You could always pay the $80 to have them turn it on, like on the private boats.

Yes, there were quite a few people out there watching that night! It seems odd that they would just simply not play the music from the show. Does anyone know if there is any music being played out on the beach at the moment. If there isn't, I would wonder if there is something wrong with the sound system, or if they are simply in the process of refurbishing it?mindflipper wrote:It's a shame - it seemed quite popular with the guests...MadEye wrote:Apparently it's been that way for a few months now. Re: Wishes from the Poly beach
Was it ever an official event or did they just happen to turn it on? For all we know somone is supposed to turn it on and they are no longer there, or there was some incident.

Oddly enough, it could be a by-product of a change of personnel and the new person, as Wizz says, just isn't aware to turn it on...Wizzard419 wrote:Was it ever an official event or did they just happen to turn it on? Or it was never part of anyone's duties so no one realized what was involved in the bonus viewing area.mindflipper wrote:Oddly enough, it could be a by-product of a change of personnel and the new person, as Wizz says, just isn't aware to turn it on...Wizzard419 wrote:Was it ever an official event or did they just happen to turn it on? Re: Wishes from the Poly beach
That is disappointing. I really hope this is not a permanent thing, and just a temporary snub.

The only place I know for sure the music is piped in is around the Hawaii longhouse. The other locations, beach closest to GF and the other by sunset point has no music.
