Anyone ever done the Segway tour at Epcot? Worth it and would you do it again?

I always see the tour groups when were in the park, but we haven't done it yet. Looks like it would be fun.

We have done it. My husband and I took the tour and had such a good time that we signed up for a second one later in the week and took our son. He was working when we did the first one and couldn't go. We were lucky that he had a morning off and could do it another day.

It is a lot of fun. You first have a learning session, because it does take a little practice to ride one, then you go out into EPCOT before it is actually open and ride your way around the entire World Showcase. You weave in and out of areas of the countries like the brick and grass courtyard to the right of American and Adventure and up around the pools and water features of Japan. Each class is different on what you do depending on the skills of the riders in that class. By the time you are at the end of your ride and leaving World Showcase you have quite an audience from the International Gateway back to Innoventions.

I would do this again without any hesitation. If you are into pin collection, you get get a really cool slider pin for taking the tour.

give it a shot at least once. You will be impressed at what an amazing invention the Segway is. I would love to have my own for tooling around WDW. How fun it would be to ride from KW to DTD, etc. Of course, we would have to have Segway parking, but if we can park big cars, why not Segways?

Theme Park Review has a video of the Segway tour. put it to an appropriate song too, IMHO (I love that movie...)

How much does this cost? And do you need reservations? And how early should I make a reservation?

It looks like fun..I too want to know how much? How long? How old is minimum age? Daughter to be 14 on July 16. She wants to birthday at WDW. That would be cool.

That does sound like a lot of fun. Is it hard to learn how to ride them? I too would like to know the cost, if it's not to much of a bother. Or, does anyone know where you can find information on it?

It's not difficult to learn to use them - they do give you a training period before they let you loose in the world (ha ha, get it?? World? hehehee, just kill myself!) and they have enough 'handlers' there in case you need some extra confidence.

There are two 2-hour tours daily, and they most likely will sell out. They are at 8:30 and 9:30, but you should be there at least 15 minutes in advance. I believe they meet at Guest Relations inside the park (Epcot.) Guests need to be 16 or older and weigh 250 pounds or less. Guests age 16-18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. All Guests will be required to sign a waiver, and must be able to stand for the duration of the tour.

There is also a 1-hour tour similar to the above but much abbreviated, that runs only on select days starting at 12:30pm. It's pretty much indoor riding in Innoventions West. It suits the traveler who 'just wants to ride one' and doesn't want to tie up precious park time, or spend the $80 for the 2-hour tour (insert Gilligan's Island theme here...)

if i still had my balace I would take the segway tour. but sadly i cant even ride a bike anymore so i enjoy watching the pastley white tourists in shorts seg on by

and plus they don't like it when you are slightly inuberated on the tours and keep aiming for the older people in the scooter and try to race them to test track
