Where is your favorite place to watch Wishes in the Magic Kingdom? (Maybe it is outside of the MK?) :D

We have found that if you stake out a table and chairs at Casey's Corner you can watch the whole thing and rest your feet, too and grab one of those great hotdogs int he meantime. Just make sure you don't grab one of the tables that will give you a view obstructed by a tree.

Right at the plaza near the train station, you can stand right in the middle of the street and get a terrific view. And you beat the crowd on the way out. Before they made the area btwn Tomorrowland and Main St a smoking zone that used to be a good place as well.

We grab an ice cream and plunk ourselves down at one of the tables near the Plaza restaurant. Of course, Wishes always makes me cry (right into my hot fudge sundae) lol

The only times I've seen Wishes were when I was sitting in the hub area, and then standing/sitting right in front of the partners statue. Both good places.

It makes me cry, too. I love Jiminy Crickett and the story is wonderful and the music just the best and the fireworks are stunning. I would see it every night of our trip if I had my way.

If you make a PS for dinner at Ohana's at the Poly, they dim the lights & pipe in the music. Try to get a window seat.

Another great spot is from the beach at Poly. Nice & relaxing...no crowds. Pick a cozy hammock, kick back & relax....very romantic.

Some people like to rent one of the boats on the lake in front of MK. It is $$$, but if you have a large group to split the cost, it isn't bad.

As close to the castle as you can get

We use to go on the observation deck @ the Contempary, but they won't let you go out there anymore. You need be dinning at the resturant on top to go out there. Behind the castle is a nice place, no crowds, but you don't have the same effect as being in the center. If you don't mind sitting for an hour, go to the train station at the entrance of the Magic Kingdomabout an hour before the show. There at the top of the stairs are a few patio chairs. Grab a few for your family and get as close to the railing as possible, cause it is going to get crowded. Great spot, dead center, with chairs.

Good luck - we tried that last summer - had a 9:00 PS - Wishes was scheduled for 10:00 p.m. We didn't get called to go up to the Grill at 9:00, so asked the check-in desk - they let us go up - there were people standing EVERYWHERE! I guess a lot of people had PS around our time and ALL the people that were eating before us (8:00 - 8:30 PS) decided not to leave and stay until 10:00 pm to watch Wishes. We never did get a good view, and were'nt seated until 10:30 p.m. Kinda sad to be seated at 10:30 pm for a 9:00 PS, ya know. The only good thing is that our waitress felt so bad that we got a 20% discount off our bill, but at 10:30 pm who's really hungry? We just had hourdevourse (spelling?) and dessert.

We didn't go to the Grill. We took the exterior stairs a few floors down ( I forget what floor), and walked up to the Grill. I don't know if you can still get out side from there, but they don't want you on the observation deck @ the Grill with priority seating. You can also watch the Water Pagent from up there.

When we saw Wishes this past Sunday ngiht, we were in the circle area in front of the Castle. There were lots and lots of folks with their tripods trying to get just the right shot of the fireworks and the castle all decorated.

If I haven't mentioned it already, the castle looks absolutely incredible. I heard that some people thought it was tacky. I thought the birthday cake castle was very tacky, but I just love this one.
