Re: Your favorite souvenier???
I have one. It's a plastic Lady on wheels from the promotion of the movie Lady and the Tramp. We got it years ago at the longest yard sale for, and get this, $.50. It's in mint condition and is just a fun little piece. We were very proud of ourselves for knowing what is was.

One of my favorite souvenirs is the Year of a Million Dreams lanyard & 2 pins that I was lucky enough to win. I'm sure a lot of people got them, but I've never particularly won anything before.
Plus I was super excited to have something to store all my fast passes, tickets and room keys in.
Another thing I love is my Pirates of the Caribbean cardboard poster-thingy (sorry for quality).

I got it at the WDW PotC gift shop a few years ago. Maybe 2007? It's pretty small, and not a full size movie-poster.. but still rather neat and love the detail.Amy wrote:That's a nice poster. One of my favorites is a snow leopard plush that I bought from the Expedition Everest gift shop. When my husband and I first saw it, it cracked us up because we thought they had decided to make a plush of what the yeti would look like as a cat.
We kept laughing about it until we decided that we had to have it. It wasn't until we bought it and they asked us if we would like to donate to snow leopard conservation just like the toy that we understood what it was supposed to be. We still call it the "kitty yeti" and it always makes me smile.

Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

Re: Your favorite souvenier???
Oh wow. I have so many souvenirs from WDW. It would be hard to pick just one!
I have three lanyards full of pins all the way back from...2005 I believe. I've also got Simba, Nala, and Scar plushies. (TLK is my favorite movie ever.
)
I also have a pressed penny book that I bought at WDW years back. It holds 64 coins, I think. I have it filled up. It kind of got me started on pressed pennies. I get them wherever I go that has one of those machines, although I don't have any room left in the book. I just put them in a zip lock bag until I can get another book from WDW.

Re: Your favorite souvenier???
I have 2 favorite souveniers: one is a ring with red stones and a crystal MM head in the middle and the other is a necklace with a diamond-like castle. I wear them proudly and smile if someone points them out. I also spent one trip trying to buy something from each country in Epcot. I didn't quite make it but I got something from Mexico, Germany, France, China and Japan. It's like having a piece of Epcot at my house.

Mine are jewelry too. One is my swirly Mickey pendant. My day is just not right if I don't have it on. The other is a ring that I bought for my husband in the Italian pavilion. It doesn't say anything Disney on it but since his wedding ring no longer fits he wears it like a wedding band. He loves that I got it from the Italian pavilion and I just love that I got it at Disney.

I'm a mug girl. I love drinking my coffee in a memory. My favorites are a black POTC mug and a white Expedition Everest mug. I'm hoping to add a Star Wars mug this May.

My Yoda wearing Mickey ears mug. I love that thing! Also, I have to buy at least 10 of the Mickey Mouse rice krispie treats to bring home and freeze. Its always nice to have one while listening to DisneyWorld music a few weeks after getting back. Oddly thats right when I get the urge to start planning the next trip

I've got park maps going back to 1982. It's fun to look at them and see how the parks have transformed over the years. Those might be my favorite souvenirs.

I used to have maps but I threw them out one time a long time ago when I was trying to get rid of clutterkcarts wrote:I've got park maps going back to 1982. It's fun to look at them and see how the parks have transformed over the years. Those might be my favorite souvenirs.

I'm a big fan of mugs from the different resorts. Plus I have two of the Main Street posters from under the train station, one of the Railroad and the other's tomorrowland. I also have a collection of maps that I collected over the years. I love the old ones that were really more booklets with info on all the rides.

Park maps are my favorite too! I am so jealous that you have all of them! I have started collecting, and I am nowhere even close to that!kcarts wrote:I've got park maps going back to 1982.
