Adventureland Bridge Refurb

The main Adventureland Bridge that connects Adventureland to the Main Street Hub is now behind walls for a refurbishment. There is a temporary bridge to the right that ends in that covered area just east of the tables for Aloha Isle. Here's hoping that the refurbed main bridge loses the steep angle!

Are they just giving it a new lick of paint, or removing it entirely? How big of an area do they blocked off? Anyone got any pics?

I want to say they are going to replace it with a new bridge but I don't know for sure. And the entire bridge is blocked from both sides.

As for pictures, I usually don't like linking to other sites, but you asked for pics and this is the only place online that I could find:

The blocked-off area is big enough for a construction site (they usually have a smaller area if it's just a re-paint or minor work) and that website even says "replacement". It's funny how the temporary bridge is a nicer bridge than the one being replaced.

I would agree, it does say replacement. And the temporary bridge does look nice :D

Makes you wonder what the new, permanent one will look like.

I've learned not to get my hopes up where bridges are concerned. In St. Augustine, they built a temporary bridge while replacing the Bridge of Lions. The temporary bridge was better. But when they replaced the Bridge of Lions, they just built the same sorry bridge again in the same place. They could have built something better - but no! It was "tradition" and "historic" and other such adjectives to justify for building the same crap bridge. Same could happen with the Adventureland bridge. That previous bridge is part of the park"history" and has become a "tradition"...

I loved that bridge!!! Growing up I would always just let out a sound as my dad would push the stroller over. In fact, while I was just there telling my wife that, a guy pushing his kid over the bridge was next to us, and the kid was doing the same thing!!!

Oh  I don't remember, is that bridge sort of bumpy so you could kinda sound funny if you were making a sound?

Was the reason for the bridge's "humped" design due to those Swan Boats the park had when it originally opened?

I thought the same exact thing when I heard this! This is terrible for all kids in strollers. I loved this bridge when I was small. Very sad.
