Hyperion wharf

With the announcement of Hyperion Wharf at the end of 2010 we were told that work would begin in January 2011, and Disney demolition crews are certainly not waiting around to get started. These photos from this morning show the large scale demolition work currently underway, near to Raglan Road. This is the former Motion dance club building being completely cleared.

Wow! :shock: That is some major demolition happening there!!

Downtown Disney have a new map out for 2011, and not surprisingly due to their demolition status, Rock n Roll Beach Club and Motions have been removed from the map, and in their place, a walled off area with the text "For Future Enjoyment". This area will of course be home to part of the brand new Hyperion Wharf area. What is interesting from the new map is that BET, Comedy Warehouse and the Adventureres club remain on the map, although none are labelled.

Maybe no plans are being made to demolish those buildings, just "re-theme" them (re-do the exterior and interior).
