Has anyone been on the newly rehabbed Tomorrowland Transit Authority? I have, and I am not a fan. I used to love the old narration. That ride was one of my "unsung hero" rides. It is so relaxing and never has a line. You also get that glimpse of Space Mountain. I wish they would make it the way it was.

Did they change it again? It's been changed for a while now I believe.
I watched a video online about the history of Tomorrowland and it's interesting how much things have changed over the years. The current narration is very similar to ORAC-1 that preceded the TTA narration you are familiar with. So...WDW really just went back to what it sounded like when it was the People Mover.
Click HERE to watch the 3-part history on Tomorrowland (doesn't include the 2009/2010 updates)

It changed earlier this year. The "rehab" was basically just so people wouldn't see what was going on inside Space Mountain. I agree that it isn't the best, but if you look hard enough online, you can find a live recorded version of the one you want back. I've yet to try and sync the audio with the actual ride but I will try either next month or in February. We'll see.

I am not a fan of the new narration either. I don't see why they had to change it in the first place.

It all changed when the attraction reopened following the SM refurbishment. TTA was down since they couldn't have it run while the work was being done on the track inside the SM building. I believe they also installed shutters in one or two spots that hide the backstage area where the old Tommorowland stage was. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on that).

It's like nobody knows what to do with it and it's all pieced together. It's not very fluid.
Some of the parts from the reahb before last are still there, but the whole thing just needs someone to take charge and fix it.
I was pretty disappointed this last time through...

I actually don't mind it, I do miss the old one, but I like it. I was happy when they brought back "paging mr morrow" it was missing when they first reopened it.

I do wonder how many people remember ORAC-1. If you listen to that narration from way back then...the new one is very similar. This new narration is for the Peoplemover more than it is a story-telling thing like TTA was. The idea of the Peoplemover was to show a clean and efficient means of transportation while also highlighting the attractions in Tomorrowland. The version of the TTA that most of us think of was something done in the 90s as part of the refurb to create a storyline for Tomorrowland...a future where humans and aliens coexist in this city of tomorrow.
So as I was saying in the beginning...this new version is like going back to the version of the ride when it was called the Peoplemover...not TTA...so it's more classic than the TTA is...in that regard.

I agree, I remember that one. You used to go faster in Space Mountain for a few seconds too. You're right, the new one is more like that previous one. Personally, I'm quite happy they renamed it back to PeopleMover

I don't mind the new narration, but I definitely miss the old one. I spent a summer working in Tomorrowland and think I had the old one memorized.

Only thing I memorized from TTA while working Tomorrowland was:
"Please remain seated. This ride has stopped momentarily and will resume motion at any time. Please remain seated for your own safety. Thank you."
It was only after I left Tomorrowland for The Great Movie Ride that I memorized the former TTA narration.
