Disney World crowds for early April 2011
I've been going to WDW since it opened, but for the last 15 years have only gone late January when crowds are at their lowest. I want to go for my 50th birthday (April 8) and stay through around the 11th. Easter is not until the 24. What can I expect the crowds to be? I'm beginning to wonder if I should celebrate it during Jan/Feb or wait till October of next year. Thanks in advance!

A lot of school have a spring break not associated with Easter. Expect crowds.

I was afraid of that. Hmmmm, a decision to make. I don't want to wait till October. Perhaps I can swing it early February. Hubby is a restaurant manager so getting time off is very difficult. I'll see what I can do.Jacca5660 wrote:A lot of school have a spring break not associated with Easter. Expect crowds.

I took mom this past January (end of the month) for 5 days. It rained every but the last. We didn't care! I had my Yankee's cap on and our Mickey ponchos. We had a terrific time. I just don't think I could save the $$ by then. We were planning on renting a car for 10 days and drive down and stop at a few places coming and going (Charleston, Savannah). Hubby loves to drive so this way we both get to do something we love (drive and disney!).Jacca5660 wrote:That's a great time for lass crowds!! It's before spring break also!! personally i love october, early october is a little too hot (made that mistake once, won't happen again). crowds are tolerable at this time of year, i suppose it would be at your alternative choice as well. see what works best for your schedule, but keep in mind that blistering heat in the first half of october. for me it made the trip a lot less enjoyable.

Trust me. Go for February!!! The crowds are even less than January and the weather is amazing (if it is anything like last Feb, the sun will be out but it'll still feel nice and cool and not humid like October).dichuy wrote:I was afraid of that. We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

April is a bit more crowded than you would think
