They may be "token" members, but they may still try to keep it mostly mothers of different varieties (married with different numbers/ages of kids, single parent, parent of special needs, etc.) if that is the demographic that primarily visits the page. They also might be making their selections for the other non-mothers based upon how frequently their groups visit (Google provides some amazing telemetry data on traffic).
