This year they had a dad on the mom's panel so you could still enter.

Yup. It's sort of misleading how they have named it, but it is actually open to all. My Mom, F1gment, applied last year too. She would be a Grandmom on the panel

Well, my application for the Moms Panel is in for the year. Hopefully I can get a little further in the process this year! I do wish you could choose to be considered for more than one park though. I chose WDW as that is the park I am most familiar with, but I think I would do fine with questions about DL as well. Oh well, we shall see! Hopefully some of you will apply as well. Do they ask for blogs and other materials you have created? I wonder if, even though they do not require you to be a mother, not being one puts you at a disadvantage? Even though the information may be the same, they may want a relatable voice.

They do have some men on the panel now so I don't know if not being a Mom would be a disadvantage anymore. If I remember correctly, there was a spot to indicate if you maintained a blog or not.
