They didn't and still don't.

I really miss Body Wars, Cranium Command, and those "video bikes" (the seats with the pedals that had videos of going up and down Main Street and depending on how fast you pedaled, the video would speed up or slow down).

Well, I am an "old" Epcot visitor! I went through the Wonders pavillion many, many times. Cranium Command was one of my favorites, and when my kids were little, they enjoyed going on the stationary bikes, doing all the hands on displays, and doing the sports participation things on TV. For those of you who never went, there was an area where you could be filmed doing a sport, ie golf, tennis, baseball, etc., and a famous coach would give you pointers on the video monitor on your swing, or whatever you were doing. It was really cool, and my kids used to love it! There was a healthy juice bar where you could get juices, smoothies and healthy snacks and food. This was an all around neat place to visit and spend some time relaxing, and cooling off.

I for one, think they could reopen the building and not spend a ton of money. Cranium Command would be just fine as it is, a great story, funny, and nostalgic. Put some updated displays and hands on things to do, and people would love it. Hope they get their heads out of the clouds and do something about it some day!

Call me a nerd, but I miss Body Wars!! That was fun! It also was a great way to get out of the heat. Is this also where Food Rocks was? I LOVED Food Rocks!! Who would have thought Tone Loc would be doing Disney? Although he did do Fern Gully.

Yeah, Food Rocks was in The Land but I could see it fitting in WoL as well...with it being about nutrition and all. Great show!

I don't miss Body Wars, but I do miss Cranium Command and those "video bikes" MadEye mentioned. It was fun to nearly run over the people along Main Street!

Disney is putting their money into the Fantasyland expansion so I doubt that anything will happen with the WOL pavilion right now. I'm pretty sure that something will eventually be placed in there at some point. Maybe a few years after the Fantasyland construction. I'm basing this only on my gut but it seems to be the most logical answer, unless they want to beef up the attractions count in Animal Kingdom first.

WOL was definitely one of my favorite pavilions and I visited it the first year it opened. How I miss Cranium Command. It's not the same watching it on youtube.

I agree that not much big will happen in WDW until the Fantasyland expansion is complete. But I don't know that they will bring WOL back to life though. It has sat dormant for so many years, and look at the Odyssey building ~ that doesn't see much love and has been like that for ages. Not that it housed any attractions, but it is still prime real estate that goes unused for the most part.

Verified, years after closing, the Cranium Command theater is still 100% intact:

And here is Buzzy, sleeping until he gets the call back to service:

What have we told you about breaking and entering laws? :D

Did they dismantle anything in the pavillion? I would imagine that unless there was an actual use for them/the space they just mothball most attractions. The one that I am still surprised about was that supposedly all but one of the rocket rod vehicles, which was displayed at DCA, were scrapped rather than simply left up behind innoventions to rot.

That's sad to see Buzzy just hanging in limbo like that. I'm sure it was kind of creepy for you.
