Has anyone used a trundle bed at Port Orleans Riverside (or anywhere else in the WDW resorts)? Would they sleep an adult comfortably? They say up to 9 years of age.

I haven't used them, but I did find these photos at http://www.allears.net Looking at the pictures I would say it would sleep a smaller adult, but probably not very comfortably. They look almost as long as the regular bed but pretty narrow. The site indicated these photos were taken in Alligator Bayou Room #3840

I would agree that they look a little small to be very comfortable for an adult.

I'm 5'2" and I can lie on them but that is as far as it goes, I couldn't sleep on it. There is a possibility of sleeping on it if your my size and slept on your back and never moved all night but not many people do that.

We went air mattress a few years ago and have been pleased. It's our own, we can blow it up, take it down, etc. It works well.

Our daughter slept on them with no problem but she was 6 at the time.

Side note: I stepped on the trundle bed and it shot back under the bed and launched me into my son's stroller (luckily, he wasn't in it) and bent it really bad. Only 3 wheels touched the ground after that and the "arms" were bent in really bad angles but it worked for that trip.

Adults cannot sleep on those trundle beds. But it was ok for my daughter when she was 8. If you had 5 or 6 adults I would opt for the AS suites, or if your budget can be a bit higher go for the Ft Wilderness cabins.

My youngest daughter, who was 9 at the time, slept comfortably. However, had she been a couple of inches taller, her feet would have hung off the end of the bed. These beds are really only for kids.
