Listen up Space Mountain fans, there’s a new addition to the Walt Disney World Resort attraction that just may be music to your ears. It’s an enhanced audio experience with sounds you’ve never heard before. Walt Disney Imagineering has added a new composition that’s exclusive to the attraction at Magic Kingdom Park that will play with varying sound effects throughout all “flights” on 60 newly installed speakers. “Starry-O-Phonic Sound” compliments a slew of enhancements that debuted on Space Mountain last year, including new lighting, storyline elements and updated decor. Here’s a special message from The Space Mountain Project Team.

Cool! That will definitely add to the experience

I'll most likely be going to MK in the next 2 or 3 weeks so I'll do a little report about it. Unless someone else here beats me to it.

The poster says, "zippy musical track"- so does that mean it's gonna have actual ride music like Disneyland? If so, that's awesome.

Sounds like it will be music in the attraction but not on-board the ride vehicles.

I've heard music and sound effects triggered at certain spots when a rocket goes by. Until we get a ride through report we can speculate, I guess. Still planning on going to the park(s) but not till the 14th (Chef Mickey's breakfast reservations) but someone might beat me to a report.

Nope. Just going cause I can. That and I wanted to compare it to Crystal Palace for breakfast. I've already tried Chef Mickey's for Dinner so I wanted to try something new.
