Fast pass out of WDW Epcot.....
Reality hits WDW. During my visit last week apparently I was suffering from dehydration and some other heath issues that concerned the Disney nurses at the First Aid Station.....so they brought in the EMT's that took all of two minutes, they took an EKG and off I went to "Celebrations" hospital for some tests. Total time it took Disney to get me to the hospital was ten minutes tops. I must say the Disney medical staff was great. They were quick and very professional. Spent the majority of the day at the ER and then they let us return to our hotel around Midnight. This was near the end of our stay so it didn't impact us too much. FYI.. All the "Disney" medical attention was free, not the hospital. The hospital actually had Disney characters on the walls going to the CT scan, I must say that was kind of creepy. I don't want to associate Disney with feeling poorly. Once again...Disney comes through.
PS....my main concern was that we had fast passes for Soarin' and didn't get to use them. boo hoo!

Sorry you got ill, but it sounds like they took great care of you. Remember: you can use the Fast Pass any time that day AFTER the start time on the ticket. It does not have to be only during that one hour duration printed on the ticket.

I have thought about bringing the little Powerade singles things to put in water while I am there in a few weeks. Last thing you want is to get dehydrated...and in a place that big...and it being that hot...you have to be careful.
Glad you are ok and that the folks there took good care of you.

Thanks for the tip, but we didn't get a chance to return to the park that day...Oh well, I'll add them to my souvenirs. If I had time to think about it, I should have handed them over to another guest at the park.

That sucks it happened on your vacation. But as long as you are okay, that's all that matters!

Wow I am sorry to hear that you had that happen. However, I am very happy to hear that it was handled in a timely fashion.

Disney does "timely" very quickly. Back when I was college (sadly, some time ago), during a visit to MK I had parked at the Contemporary. I had accidentally locked the keys in my car and needed to get a service to unlock my car. I walked back to the main building, and when I got to the front desk, they knew who I was and what I was there for. The lady behind front desk told me that the WDW had its own service that unlocked cars. By the time I got back to my car, the truck was already there and the guy had my car unlocked. That's how "timely" WDW can be...they can get it done before you can even ask for it...Len90 wrote:Wow I am sorry to hear that you had that happen. So glad you are OK! It's a good lesson for all of us, drink, drink, drink when it's hot.

Yes, they have eyes everywhere! The security cameras were able to get my license plate, and then they ran a search through the Florida DMV database...and remember, this happened long time ago (at least 10+ years ago), so it makes you wonder what the current state of technology must be like! Just to go along on this. Keep in mind that each park has thousands of hidden eyes in the sky watching over the place. Four of the most visible cameras are actually located at the top of crossroads.mindflipper wrote:Yes, they have eyes everywhere!
