This is absolutely true. According to a user named MoonMouse1 on the WDWMagic boards, a guy came out of the restroom near Space Mountain in a Mario costume. He posed for pictures and signed autographs for about 15 minutes until he saw WDW Security coming for him, then he ran back into the restroom. Here's the photographic evidence:



What the heck possessed this guy to do this? Was it a bet? Was it a dare? Was he high? I guess we'll never know.

That should be an entry in the "People of the Park" site...

And isn't that a CM standing by the door on the left hand side? Kids probably didn't care who was at the park...and I know my friends kids love Mario so they would have been thrilled!

I imagine he got kicked out of the park. But yeah, how did he think that would go down? Did he think he'd come out of the stall and the guards would be like "Well, that can't be him because he doesn't have a mustache and blue overalls."

As far as the guy dressing up as Mario, what in the world?!?!

Wow that is crazy. I will be on the look out for his brother Luigi when we are down there. I honestly wonder how you can get the Mario costume past security unless it was being worn underneath... They supposedly check bags before entering.

He gets in and out through the sewer pipes! I'm just worried Bowser is going to show up without Mario being there! Beware the mushrooms!!
