Star Wars Weekends
OK - I'm going to be at WDW for the last weekend of Star Wars weekends. I'm not into Star Wars like that but I wanted to go do the new TOT drop and see the new Toy Story Mania but I'm just not sure whether it's worth it to brave the crowds during Star Wars weekends.

Re: Star Wars Weekends
Nothing really happens for SWW by ToT and Toy Story Mania always has long lines whether it is SWW or not (try and get a fastpass early if you can). As long as you don't show up to the park during the motorcade, you should be able to traverse the park without having to deal with any of the SWW events. Well, maybe you will encounter the Stormtroopers above the turnstiles, but that should be about it.
We are all a little weird

And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Re: Star Wars Weekends
We're going to be there June 5. I'm excited, I've always wanted to do SWW. We're planning to get there early and stay late for Hyperspace Hoopla, but I'm concerned about the heat, and how the Studios don't really have a place where you can go sit for an extended period of time in the A/C. We're taking my brother-in-law; he's never been to the Studios before, so it'll be fun for him. And my wife will have someone to go with her on ToT and RRC.

Re: Star Wars Weekends
I was there for SWW once and I honestly don't remember there being a whole lot going on. I remember storm troopers on the roofs above the entrance turnstyles right before opening and then right next to Star Tours there being like some sort of light saber training for kids every so often throughout the day. I think there was also a chance to get autographs from some relatively minor character actors from the series

I've seen the videos of the Dance Off for both 2008 and 2009 and I have to say that I loved 2008 the most.
