Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to share with you some really great pictures from this morning’s space shuttle launch captures by a photographer in the park at the time of launch. For us Disney Fans the photo's are breath taking. I even suspect at some point in the launch there was a hidden Mickey in the exhaust. Am I crazy?

It was a lot darker out than those pictures make it seem. All I can say is that was one helluva wakeup call!!! Of course, my camera did not tell me the batteries were dead until I tried to take some shots this morning...

Cool!
I wonder how that photographer got in so early? Did he plan it that way on purpose ahead of time?

I watched the launch live this morning and MadEye is right. It was dark. Guess that is what a good camera and a true professional can do for you. I am sure Disney planned this. I would just love to be at WDW during a shuttle launch!! Even better....have front row seats to a launch. Some day we will plan a trip around a launch and hope it is on schedule.

That was on my list of very important "To Do's" today. Honestly!

I guess you saved me the trouble! We have moved our trip from November to January 2011. Well, maybe I will be able to see one of the commercial paid launches. I hear those will still take place but be few and far between because of the associated costs.

Thanks for posting Mouseoholic! What amazing pictures!!!!
I was on an educational trip to Florida when the Endeavor was to take its maiden voyage. Howver they kept bumping the days and eventually it launced a couple of days after we left. We were excited (most of the people on the trip were Aerospace geeks like myself at the time) to learn that at one point the launch was scheduled on a day we were going to be at Kennedy Space Center...oh well, at least we got to see the shuttle on the launch pad (from a distance anyway).

That is amazing. You would think it is a shooting star going right across the castle that you would like to make a wish on.
I would say that Disney hired this person to take the picture. It appears to be taken with a professional body. Very cool, just wish the space shuttle program didn't have to come to an end.

Those are some nice pictures! I am sad about the shuttle program coming to an end too but they are going to continue flights, just not with the aging shuttles. A shuttle launch was always something I hoped to see...
