What have you still not done?

Post by kcookiebaker » Apr Sun 04, 2010 9:48 am

What is it that you still have not done, that you say, every trip, THIS TIME we are going to do and wind up not doing?

For us it's the Christmas Jingle Jangle Jungle Parade.

Every year, without fail, we say we will do it, and every year, without fail, we don't.
It's not lack of interest, it's timing. It seems it's just at the worst time of the day to haul over to AK.

It seems for some reason, I don't know why, we have never taken the boys to the Hall of Presidents.

We always say we are going to eat at a nice, sit down restaurant, but we never do. We just get too excited and eat things on the fly or at counter service restaurants. This has as much to do with the cost of the meals as it does the time it takes out of our busy day though.

I've never done Mickey's Philharmagic. Seems every time I wander by there the show has just begun. I can never time it right.

There are some things I haven't done on purpose. But the only thing I haven't done that I want to is Mickey's Phil.

Last trip I finally rode Dumbo. I was 34 at the time. That was the last thing at the MK I had never been on. We never got on Toy Story Mania but that was because it kept breaking down, not for lack of trying.

We're not all that interested in meeting characters so we skip those mostly, even though I generally like getting pictures when we do stop. There's a couple resorts left that we've never been to that I at least want to go and walk around - Caribbean, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs. Maybe next trip.

I did this for the first time this January. I highly recommend it! Not many things make me feel as patriotic as this presentation.

 I can't believe you hadn't been on Dumbo before you were in your 30's!

And Jacca, while I love the Hall of Presidents for the presentation (and music) itself, my Mom would give it two thumbs up simply for a cool, dark, comfortable seat to take a nap in!

Really? I find the American Pavilion show in Epcot to be much better.

I agree that is another patriotic-inducer, but I guess the "hope for the future" feeling is what really does it for me. I'm not sure how, but Hall of Presidents hits home with this one.

My last time down, I finally saw a rope drop. I had never seen one and always wanted to.

How about things you've done once or twice but haven't in a while? When I was a kid we stayed at Ft. Wilderness and I loved it. Especially Pioneer Hall and Crockett's Tavern. My last three trips down there I have wanted to at least take a walk through if not have dinner over there and every time I never make it over. Always gives me reason (like I need one) to plan another trip!

My family and I have always flown down to WDW and I've always wanted to have the experience of just taking the car and driving straight down there. So naturally, after seeing that WDW is only 21 hours away I have a feeling I'll be doing that in the very near future (once I graduate college in the next few weeks of course) :D

Last trip, we finally rode AstroOrbiter. That knocked one item off our list.

Still to do:
Sounds Dangerous
Find a paintbrush on TSI

KCarts, you'd never seen an RD? Wow, my family lives for those.

We've always said we are going to do Early Extra Hours, but that never seems to happen!

And DH likes both the Hall of Presidents and the American Pavilion in Epcot for a nap! On our last trip, we also had our friend with us, I realized they were both out cold and I was the only one still awake and watching.

Easy 1900 Park Fare. I am really hoping to accomplish this on the next trip. I always say we should do this, but so far we have never dined there for breakfast.

I have not done yet Expedition Everest or Toy Story Midway Mania. I have never been to Tokyo DisneySea, Tokyo Disneyland, or Disneyland Paris Hollywood Studios.
