That I could not tell you. In the pictures they show two beds in that room. You could always call and ask though.

It is a room that is closer to the lobby or one of the bus stops. I believe that is all that is different.
Do you know if they charge a premium for a "preferred" room?

I was just on the Disney web site today and there is an extra charge for the "preferred" room. If you just have a standard room it's $170/night for a weeknight and if you want preferred it jumps up to $195/night.

We had a standard room at the Beach Club and it was great. We went out the side entrance which put us a few steps closer to Epcot. The other cool thing about our room was we could hear the Beatles Tribute they do in England really clearly. Since it was so hot, we'd come back to the room in the middle of the afternoon. While my husband was trying to do a little work or watch World Cup soccer, I took my glass of wine, sat on the porch and listened to them play. It was very relaxing and a lot cheaper than a beer in England!!!

That is really saying something when a drink at Disney is cheaper than anywhere else!

Oh  sorry...blond moment ...I really thought she meant the real country and not the EPCOT England...whatever would I do without you Jacca?!
I remember the few pints I had in England (not the EPCOT one) and they were pretty pricey, so it might hold true for that too :? :( :D

Old Key West by far is the best. Simply put its very quite and tranquil at night and chill during the day.

I'm planning a trip to WDW for next year. I've never been there so these kind of posts are pretty useful.

I would stay at any resort in WDW and love it, but if I had to choose out of all that I've stayed in, it would be the relaxing atomosphere of the AKL.
