Yikes. Seems like you would expect something like this didn't happen eariler. I personally find it to be a dangerous place for those workers. It only takes one guest to not follow directions and an accident can happen. There can also be a language barrier with foreign guests.
Hope the employee is okay and recovers completely.

Tomorrowland Speedway is worse than 192 on a Saturday night around Old Town

I hope he heals quickly.

What's the procedure on the Speedway that a CM could ever be hit by a car? I bet OSHA will have fun with this one.

I have seen a cast member injured on the Speedway before. Nothing but some scrapes and bruises, but still it isn't the safest working space. When he climbed on the side of the car to move it forward, his foot slipped off the pedal, he fell and skidded a couple inches on the cement from the momentum of the car. It wasn't a serious accident, but enough to get people's attention. I am surprised OSHA hasn't gotten involved more at the Speedway. I have seen carnival attractions that take operator safety more seriously than the Speedway.

I hope the cast member is ok and don't wish anyone harm, but I have to admit I chuckled when I read the headline "Accident at Tomorrowland Speedway", imagining a five car slow speed pileup. Now I feel guilty.

Wow. I hope he's okay. I know a former CP who used to work there, and yeah aside from the minor bruises, there's the constant noise and that nasty exhaust. Thank goodness for rotations.

If you were to count all of those little fender benders before the unloading area or on the turns, then the police would be VERY busy filling out accident reports
Anymore details on this, or will this be one of those things where the Sentinel just reports the incident and that is all.
