On a side note, Wishes will be replaced (also just for summer, from what I understand) with Magic, Music and Mayhem from the Pirate and Princess Parties.

Last time they did, it was the same old floats as they had in WDW, and WDW was the shortest of the MSEP. With so many of the other MSEP's not in action in many more (like TDL's orignal EP), you would think they could add some of those floats to ours (the swans, Snow White, Smal World). Even Disneyland added a new float to their version at DCA.

Last time they did this, it was to remove Roger Rabbit out of Spectromagic and replace him with the Genie. I wonder what revision they could be doing this time?

Time will tell.

Another side note: along with MSEP and MMM, Tower of Terror will be getting some new drop sequences and effects this summer. Hopefully it stays for longer than that!!!

JPG, I was about to post that very link! It does look like they're making some changes not to have the same old version of the MSEP!

Bummer...so I'm wondering if DCA won't have an electrical parade this year. We're planning a trip for July.

Here's a crazy thought.....if they send MSEP to WDW for the summer, why not send Spectro to DL for the summer (or however long they are planning to run it)????

I am excited to hear about MSEP for the summer, but I will kind of miss seeing Spectro (if/when) we go this summer. Don't know if I am happy about the fireworks, but it should be interesting to see something that I have not seen before. Glad to hear about some new drop sequences for ToT. However, I am a huge fan of the way it is currently set-up.

Now is it confirmed that the new firework show will be Magic, Music & Mayhem? I've heard EXCELLENT things about that fireworks show so I'm defnitely interested in seeing that. And I've read that Spectro needs a refurb, esp since the 40th anniversary is coming up. It gives it time to do some quick refurb and make it look brand new for the 40th.

And maybe this will attract some of the Potter fans away.

Either way, It's a plus and not a cut like we've been so used too. I give it a thumbs up

But Len90 if everything's the same as your last trip - then what would there be that will be new and exciting? Have you ever seen any of the MSEPs in person? Remember, it's the original. There would have been no Spectromagic if there was not a MSEP, and MSEP has a cult following worldwide.

And it's "when" this summer, right Len90? It sucks when "when" becomes "if"...

OMG!!!!! This is the best news EVER!!!!! I went the last night of the original MSEP, I was there for the first and last nights of its return ten years ago and I can't wait for its return this time. I love the MSEP.

Don't get me wrong, I love SpectroMagic too, but there is a special place in my heart for MSEP.

I love Wishes, but the MMM fireworks show is amazing!

UPDATE - after conferring with the DW and all her podcast insider knowledge, she can't believe this one until she sees it.
