Very interesting articles. Everytime I see old horizon pictures and videos, it makes me curse the day that Mission Space was build (even though I like that ride too).

...why did they include Carousel of Progress? Was that ever in Epcot?

They acknowledge that it wasn't in Epcot, but that it could have been.
