It's so discouraging that after all this time with all the different things they could do, Disney finally uses the expansion space in the Italy Pavillion and puts in - a pizzeria. Frankly, no applause from me on this one. :x

Wikipedia says it will be "at the rear of the pavilion"

The rear of the Italy Pavillion has always been just a brick wall. There had been talks over the years about expanding the Pavillion to add in an attraction - instead, we're getting a pizzeria. :?

From what I remember, backstage behind that wall is just some trailers too. They could have built something there but I really don't see many major changes to World Showcase anytime soon.

Yeah I agree with mindflipper, I won't applaud this new Pizza place. Althought, it could make some good cash from families with those kids who only eat pizza and chicken fingers. It could be popular, I definately see where they are coming from putting this in.

I won't applaud the pizza place until I can test it out for myself.

From a look at the prices that were posted from a similar menu offered in Disneyland, I can't say that I'll be running over there to grab a slice, let alone a whole pie, if indeed this menu is correct. I know that you pay a little extra because it's Disney World but this seems like a little too much for some reason :|

Interesting, I hope its good. It would have been fun to have them put in more of an attraction but people do always eat....

Will this place be a table service or quick service? I can't imagine Italy having two table service restaurants that close to one another in such a small space that they have there.

Also...I am still hoping that they put in a gondola "ride" sometime in the next decade. There is so much to learn from the history of Italy from the top of the boot to the toe.

They're not consuming any of the current Italy Pavillion space, theBIGyowski; they're using instead unused expansion space. From the way it looks, once the pizzeria is in, Italy will be unable to expand any further back. There goes ever adding any kind of an attraction down the road in the future. :? :(

That's a bummer, I didn't realize this pizzeria would put an end to ever adding an attraction in Italy. :(

From the pictures of the construction, the Pizzeria will take up the area along the back wall - it will block off that end completely.

World Showcase needs more attractions, i wish disney would spend a little bit of money on the FL parks. I think 3 of the 4 could use more attractions.
