What is your favorite attraction that no longer exists at WDW?

Ouch - remembering how many good ones have gone is really painful. WoM, Horizons, Toady, and my fav - Journey - that is way to many great rides that have been replaced...

Horizons demise was devastating to me! Just some of the greatest memories of it growing up as a kid - and the smell of oranges - I really miss this attraction!

The sad thing for me is I can't remember if I went on most of these  and now won't have the chance to experience whatcha all have been talkin about!
I can remember Mr. Toads Wild Ride but only at DL.

Wow, there are so many! I miss Horizons and I really miss Alien Encounters, they shouldn't have gotten rid of that. But I think if I had to choose one, it would be Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, because I went on that all the time when I was little, and I have so many memories from it. I wish I could go on it again :(

Wait, I do remember Alien Encounters, my friend Kellie and I worked for TWA and hopped a flight down to Orlando, we were only there for the day so we hit all the "hot spots" and we did that attraction and she grabbed me when it got dark at the part where the alien had escaped and they blew air on your neck like he was breathing on you, I screamed louder than a baby! It was hilarious. It was a scary attraction, not for young kids at all. That made it great, something for us big folks to get scared in. Too bad it's gone, is it still at DL or did they remove it from there too?

That's exactly how I felt too. I remember that! When the alien eats the technician guy and they throw water on you making it seem like it was blood. And then he starts "breathing" on your neck. That was very scary, and I liked how it was aimed for adults more than children, which is probably the main reason of why they got rid of it. The ride there now, Stitch's Great Escape, opened a week after I left WDW in November 2004, so I haven't been on it yet. I heard that it's the same kind of idea, but it's obviously aimed for younger kids because it's Stitch. I heard they have funny smells and other kid things. It is a shame that Alien Encoutners was there for such a short time. I'm not sure if it's at DL still, though.

AE never went to DL - it fizzled out at WDW... Sounds like Stitch is doing better. As for Toad - at least it is still operating in one park!

OMG yes, it scared the crap out of me! It was great! Too bad they took it away. I am not a fan of Lilo & Stitch so I won't even bother seeing that attraction

Oh, I never knew that AE didn't get to DL. Oh well, doesn't affect me at all. And Toad is still operating?!?!

It scared the crap out of me, too! But I don't have a tendency to scream, so I just let my best friend Heather cling on to my hand (I literally couldn't feel my hand after the ride was over) and I just sat there sitting in my seat, not making a sound. And then of course I started freaking out after they put the air on your neck. Even though AE was great, I still want to see Stitch's Great Escape, just so I can see what it is like.[/quote]

This one is easy. Horizons is my favorite attraction that no longer exists.

I am still reeling from the loss of Alien Encounter. I went on it for the first time when i was 12 and it scared the crap out of me! Then i went on it in 2003 after i heard it was closing soon, and i was 16 then. It still scared my whole family! My family and I are distraught over it being replaced by stitch (ugh!). Im so upset, i refuse to try Stitch's great escape. Ever! I boycott the ride!

I miss the origional Universe of Energy, the movies before and after the ride itself were great, and the lasershow type thing at the very end was the best. It had everything you could ask for in a ride from Epcot. It was fairly long which was great for those hot summer days. You had innovation in the Giant moving cars, and the movie screens that move. You had dinosaurs which every youg kid loves. And most importantly you had great music. The music that went with the universe of energy pavilian was always my favorite in the park.

Has anyone been on Stitch's Great Escape yet? Because I miss Alien Encounters, and I haven't had a really good review of Stich's Great Escape. So is there anyone who has been on it that could tell me more about it? I know the basics, but what exactly goes on in there?
