Jungle Cruise at night

Post by Future Guy » Nov Mon 23, 2009 10:31 am

Has anyone ever done the Jungle Cruise at night? We're going to be at WDW in January, of course, and since it gets dark around 5:00 we'll have the opportunity to do it, and I was wondering if the experience is different in any way, since it's mostly an outdoor ride.

They use a spot light so it does change things a bit.

The JC is great at night!! It adds a whole new dimension to it!

Interesting. I'll have to try it when head down in January. I like BTMRR at night.

It's pretty neat at night, although almost everything at Disney seems better to me at night. It is something you don't want to miss if you're there after dark. The Swiss Family Treehouse is another must do at night.

I did it at dusk/night and it was really great. I thoroughly enjoyed it and like how the spotlight allows the skipper to have so much more to do to amuse you. It is true that a lot of Disney is better at night. Test track is another thing that comes to mind.

I have to say, I've never been on JC at night! I think that will be a must do on our upcoming trip!

Agreed, it is awesome at night! I certainly prefer it that way. Of course, as someone else said, I think all of Disney is better at night. :)

We think the three best attractions at night in MK are the Jungle Cruise, the Swiss Family Treehouse, and BTMRR (waaaay better at night!).

Len, do you remember the thread on Disney Day VS Night? I can't find it. DO you think you could? I think this would be a good time to bring it back!

I know this is a WDW board, but...

I agree about JC and BMTRR (at least in DL). BMTRR is great (if you time it right) during Fantasmic. We went on it 3 times in a row during the course of F! and the last time we hit it just right with the finale and fireworks. Way cool!

as far a MK goes, I think JC is about the same as DL's version so I would say definitely try it at night...like Jacca said, it's a whole new dimension to the ride.

Hmmm, I know what you are talking about. I do think it is a good thread to reference for the night day.

I hope that this is the thread since it is really the only thing I could find. There is a thread talking about Attractions at night, but it is in the Disneyland Resort forum. The url for that one is: viewtopic.php?t=4408&highlight=night

I've been on the JC at night too. It does give it a spookier feel. I remember it seemed they were running a mist/fog machine a bit more than they did in the daytime.
